Over 700 pages in two volumes. Rather than reading cover to cover, people find themselves browsing back and forth, which is fun. We thought about printing it in chronological order, which would tell the story&nbsp; over time, but that would make it difficult to split the book into two volumes. And it&#8217;s too big for one volume. You might consider using the &#8220;Index by Year of Birth&#8221; to access the encyclopedia in chronological order.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5>Why two volumes<\/h5>\n\n\n<p>The maximum number of pages for a hardcover book is 550. QIH is over 700! We could reduce the type size to fit into 550 pages, but that would become difficult to read. Instead we offer the two volumes at a reduced price.
